Accessibility statement

Croí Laighean Credit Union is committed to making www.clcu.ie accessible to as many people as possible. We are working to meet the accessibility requirements of the European Union (Accessibility Requirements of Products and Services) Regulations 2023 (S.I. No. 636/2023). We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA to guide improvements to our website.

How accessible is this website?

This website is partially compliant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Our developers have made substantial improvements to the site, and our most recent accessibility assessment recorded a score of 91%.

That score reflects the assessment used. It does not mean that 91% of WCAG requirements have been met or that every page is accessible. We continue to review the website and address issues as we find them.

Known accessibility issues

Some content may still be difficult to use. For example:

• Some links may not be announced clearly by screen readers.
• Some PDF documents may lack a document title, accessibility tags or a logical reading order.
• Some PDF documents may have insufficient colour contrast.

We are working to improve these issues. If you cannot access a document or part of the website, please contact us, and we will do our best to provide the information in an accessible format.

Extra support with Recite Me

We provide the Recite Me assistive toolbar so visitors can adjust how they experience the website. Depending on the content, the toolbar can help you:

• Use reading aids or a simplified view.

The toolbar provides additional support for visitors while we continue to improve the accessibility of the website itself.

How we improve accessibility

We review website content and functionality, work with our developers to fix known issues, and use the Recite Me Accessibility Checker to help identify further improvements. We also aim to consider accessibility when adding new content and services, including content supplied by third parties.
