Do I need a student loan?

A student loan can be used to bridge the gap before receiving a grant, for buying equipment, for college/university fees, or for rent. With a Croí Laighean Credit Union Student Loan, you can pay it back early with no fear of additional penalties or charges.

What’s the limit on a Credit Union student loan?

The maximum you can borrow is up to €70,000, and for up to 5 years. You may require a guarantor if you don’t have a regular income source. The best advice is to talk to us, we will always work with you.

Is the student loan available to overseas students?

To avail of our Irish student loan, you must live, work, or study in our common bond. If you are relocating to an address within our common bond, or plan on studying in our common bond, please contact us to discuss your loan requirements.

Repayment Example:

A loan of €6,000 over 5 year period would cost €117.69pm at a variable rate of 6% (APR 6.17%). The cost of credit is €942.20 and the total amount repayable is €6,942.20. Variable rates may increase which would cause the cost of credit to increase.
